2011 Saint Louis Park Hennepin County Minnesota, USA Ruth E Finn, 90, died peacefully at her home surrounded by
her loving family Dec 11, 2011. She was born in Superior on Aug 2, 1921, the
daughter of Harry and Sarah Widdes, and raised in Rice Lake, WI. She
graduated from Superior State Teachers College in 1942, and taught school in
Dallas, West Bend, Neenah, Menasha and Superior in Wisconsin. Ruth will be remembered for her beautiful smile, loving
nature, keen wit and sense of humor. She loved not only her family, but her
friends from Superior and Duluth and the friendships she cultivated upon her
move to Knollwood Place. Her love of bridge, canasta, mahjong, trips to the
casino and reading were activities that Ruth so enjoyed. Ruth was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother
and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband, William
"Bill" Finn; and her parents. She will be deeply missed by her sons, Michael (Debbie)
Finn and Jeffrey (Bonnie)Finn; daughter, Cindy (Douglas) Kanter, all of
Minnetonka, MN; grandchildren, Andy and Libby Finn, Jodi Finn, Amy Finn,
Steven Finn, Daniel Kanter and Jonathan Kanter; great-grandchildren, Max Finn
and David Finn; sister, Harriet Wilstan, Los Angeles, CA; brothers, Skipper
(Carole Mae) Widdes, Rice Lake, WI and Jerry Widdes, Delhi, IA;
sister-in-law, Minnie Bergman, St Louis park, MN; and many loving nieces,
nephews and cousins. Graveside services will be held at the Superior Hebrew
